However, they are all united by a common love for potatoes and a very low price for the dish.

For potato casserole (4 servings) you will need:

Bake for ~45–55 minutes until nicely browned. Once cooked, let it rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve with sour cream or your favorite sauce.
Will surprise everyone: sweet potato pudding
Although potatoes are often used in savory dishes, they have a subtle sweetness of their own, especially when boiled in their skins or baked. Therefore, they can also be used in desserts - as the basis for a sweet pudding, which is recommended by the supermarket chain Lidl.

For 2 servings of the dish you will need:
3–4 large boiled potatoes (without skin)
100 ml of "Pilos" milk
1 egg
30 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
30 g raisins or other dried fruit
20 g "Pilo" butter
Preparation:
Mash the boiled potatoes into a smooth puree. Mix milk, sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter into the mashed potatoes.
Add the eggs. Mix well to form a smooth, creamy mixture. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of milk.
Mix raisins, other dried fruits, or additives into the dough.
Pour the mixture into a buttered baking dish. Bake at 180 °C for ~35–40 minutes, until the surface is golden and the inside is set – check with a wooden stick.
Leave the baked pudding to cool - this will help it firm up and taste better.
You can serve the pudding warm or cold. It goes great with jam, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce.
Delicious!
